How we work

You bring the brief. We bring the rest.

ELVA Copenhagen packaging suite with gift bag, jewellery box, thank-you card and brand booklet

Custom packaging projects involve many decisions, materials, formats, branding, samples, production, delivery and repeat orders. Our process helps you move through each step with clarity and control.

The six steps

Brief, direction, samples, production, delivery, reorder.

Six stages. One named contact from first brief to reorder. Design happens in-house in Denmark, the Westpack Design Studio sits on the same floor as production planning, so concepts stay producible from the first sketch.

  1. 01

    Share your brief

Brand, products, markets, timeline, quantities, visual direction. No finished brief? We define it with you.

  2. 02

    Define the packaging direction

The Westpack Design Studio visualises options and turns the brief into producible artwork, product types, materials, colours, finishes and branding chosen for both brand and operations.

  3. 03

    Develop samples

Physical prototypes you can hold. Refined until look, feel, function and brand fit are right.

  4. 04

    Confirm production details

Specifications, quantities, timelines, delivery, quoted across our vetted multi-supplier network in Europe, India, Indonesia and China. One price. The sharpest landed cost we can stand behind.

  5. 05

    Produce and quality check

Produced to spec. Checked for consistency, finish, and how it actually performs in a customer's hand.

  6. 06

    Store, deliver and reorder

Warehousing in Denmark plus consignment stock in EU and Asia, so you get large-batch pricing without holding the full volume yourself. Boxes, pouches, bags, displays, after-sale and shipping packaging from one partner. Reorders carried by the same team.

Common questions

Practical questions about the process.

  • Can you help if we only have an early idea?

Yes. Many projects begin with a direction rather than a finished brief. We define product types, materials, branding options and next steps together.

  • Do you have in-house design help?

Yes, the Westpack Design Studio is part of our team. From first sketch to producible dielines, without bringing an external studio onto the project.

  • How do you make sure pricing is competitive?

Every brief is quoted across vetted suppliers in our network across Europe, India, Indonesia and China. You see one price (the sharpest landed cost we can stand behind), and we manage the comparison.

  • Do you provide samples before production?

Yes. Samples confirm look, feel, function and brand fit before final production.

  • Can you help with several packaging items at once?

Yes. Boxes, pouches, carrier and gift bags, displays, after-sale products, shipping packaging and finishing details, built into one coherent system.

  • Do you support repeat orders?

Yes. Repeat orders and long-term packaging setups, carried by the same named contact, year after year. We monitor your inventory levels and stay in close dialogue with you, triggering production runs with enough lead time to prevent stock-outs, so you never run empty during a launch or peak season.
